Public Relations Student Society of America

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), based in New York City, is a pre-professional public relations organization. Founded in 1967 after Professor Walter Seifer of Ohio State University suggested that its parent Society, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), expand and establish the organization. [1] It has grown to more than 9,600 members and 285 Chapters at colleges and universities in 43 states and the District of Columbia.

In 2007, on the initiative of Professor Marcelo Baro, the Public Relations Student Society of America announced the approval of the first international chapter in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Society provides education, networking and access to professional development opportunities to its members.
